Amelia Martin Can anyone refer a good babysitter??

Hey everyone! We are looking to find a good babysitter for my 16 month old. We are a little nervous about leaving him with someone we don't know, but would like to find someone to get to know. Someone who is available for an occasional date night and during the week (for when I have an appointment, etc). We also have dogs, so they would need to be comfortable with them as well. I would love to find someone through another mom's referral before having to pay to use a site like sittercity. If…

Andrea Collins A little about me....

I'm new to Spartanburg Moms so I thought I'd write a post to introduce myself. My name is Andrea and I live with my 3 kids in Whitmire. My daughter, Kourtney, is 18 and my two sons, Alex and Nick, are 8 and almost 3. I'm in a relationship with a wonderful man, Joe and I'm happier in this relationship than in any other relationship I've ever been. It's a healthy relationship.

I'm a full time student at Piedmont Tech, getting my Associates of Arts. I also own a crochet shop. If you have…

Crissy Amaker Monthly Onesie & Belly Bump Stickers

Have you seen the stickers that you can put on any onesie for every month of your babies first year?  They are so adorable & affordable.  You don't have to buy a new onesie every month and not be able to reuse it.  Just peel the sticker off the paper, place it on your little ones onesie and start snapping the camera.  You will not have to remember or write on the back of every picture how old your new little baby…

Jan Stribling If anyone's interested...

I have a Scentsy order going in this week if you would like to order something.  Feel free to e-mail me at jks4690@aol.com

I have never been one for scented candles or room sprays, but when I went to a Scentsy party I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the fragrances and the warmers.  The Warmer of the Month for June is pictured below and called Star Spangled-very patriotic!  The Fragrance of the Month is Peach ala Mode. …

Jan Stribling The Wait to see a Specialist

A few weeks ago, I noticed my 7yo son was having some urinary issues; dark urine to be specific.  I first thought he must be a litle dehydrated so I did my best to increase his liquid intake.  Despite that, there was still a problem and eventually I noticed a pinkish-red color.  We immediately went to our family doctor who did blood work and a urine culture, which showed "a LOT of blood" according to the nurse.  The blood work was all normal, so we spent another 2 weeks hydrating.  Another…

There is still time to support the Boiling Springs Library as part of the Del Taco Kick Off to Summer promotion.

The restaurant (located at 1800 Boiling Springs Rd) is collecting new and gently used books to donate to the library. In addition, the restaurant will be donating 10 cents from every Crispy Chicken Taco sold to benefit the Friends of the Spartanburg County Public Libraries' efforts to support the Boiling Springs Library and their Summer Reading Program. Kim Stall-ing

Stall-ing is difficult with little kids. Nope - I'm not referring to delaying an answer or even a treat. I'm talking about the difficulty of taking a young child to the use the restroom while away from home.

I am convinced that all restaurant, mall and auditorium bathroom stalls are…

Amber Gilbert I'm a newbie!!

I stumbled across this site by mistake, but I can already tell it is exactly what I was looking for. I moved to South Carolina about a year ago, but I still haven't met anyone to "hang out" with. I'm a stay at home mother of 3 boys. Zachary is almost 5, Brennon is 3, and Tripp is almost 16 months. About me? My name is Amber, and I have been married going on 6 years to the most amazing man. I have a touch of OCD with cleaning, I spoil my kids rotten, and I love every minute of it. I love…

Ashley Dill Her first big tumble

Sunday was such a beautiful day! My husband, daughter and I went over to my best friend's house so our daughter, McKennon, could play outside with her little boy. They recently got a trampoline, and McKennon absolutely loves it! They also have a great backyard, that's perfect for sitting on the deck and watching the little ones run around. Well, my daughter had tired of jumping on the trampoline, so she was running around the yard when she discovered the steps leading up to the deck. She…

Kim Doctorphobia

It happens suddenly one day – your darling baby has never had a problem at the doctor. She’s laughed and smiled through each visit (okay, maybe not the shots, but the rest of it!)… Then it hits. Doctorphobia – a fear of the doctor. It happened to my daughter – there was a period where she would shrink into a shy child with nothing to say the entire ride to the doctor’s office and cry and cling to me if the doctor even came over to say hello. You can imagine the degree of unhappiness when it…
