Spartanburg Martial Arts has a cool birthday package... They give a 15 minute karate lesson covering basic karate techniques. :) Here is their link with all the details...

Shipwreck Cove. Awesome for a summer birthday! Also, Discovery Island Water park.
I only know those because my son's 5th birthday is coming up in June.
The Fire Station. Don't know if all of them do, but I have known people in Gville and Sburg who have done these. They let you have the cake and presents in their main room. Then they let the kids climb all over the firetrucks, give them a fire safety lesson, and in the case of one luck boy I knew, took the kids for a ride around the block in the firetruck! They do not charge, but do want you to give a donation. You have to bring everything of course, but they do have plastic fireman hats to give to the kids. I'd love to look into this in a few years for a 6th or 7th bday pary.
Duck Duck Goose toy store in Greer (I think it is considered Greer there - in the Bloom shopping center at Hwy 14/Pelham/Batesville Road. Locally owned store. They have a party room with different themes. They do activities, crafts, games, and duck duck goose of course!
Sunshine Ranch (think that is what it is called) for pony rides
The Little Gym in Greenville or Gymboree in Greer
Permalink Reply by Kim on May 25, 2011 at 9:41am My neighbor just had her daughter's 6-yr-old party at Club Tabby. She posted pics on FB. I can ask her if you can use some on the show if you want....if it is not too late.
Iced, The Upstate Cupcake Cafe also does bday parties like Cupcake Creations. Iced is in Taylors in case you wanted to give a Greenville location too. I love that place. We go there alot to get the Happy Cow milk they sell there and they always let my son have more than one of the cupcake samples!
I love the Wofford Sports idea! My husband played soccer for Wofford. I'm sure he would love to do that for our boys when they are older. Although with their summer bdays, might not work! But that reminds me of when I worked for the Spartanburg Phillies (the last two years they were here). It was my job to take the birthday boy/girl out to do the first pitch. So fun!
Permalink Reply by Jo Cartee on May 26, 2011 at 10:22am How about Noah's Ark Animal Workshops. We come to your location to let each child create their very own stuffed friend. Prices start at only $15.00 and we bring everything, including a workshop leader to do the work for you.
Great for daycares and corporate events as well!

Permalink Reply by Ann M. on January 3, 2012 at 2:33pm Thanks so much for creating this post!! I had no idea there were so many choices for a party!
I was hoping to do the Greenville Zoo. But, the parties there are for 3 yrs and older. Plus, it is very expensive--starts at $300!!
Permalink Reply by Catherine Lawrence on May 10, 2012 at 9:54am I ended up having our son's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese in November, but will probably not do it again. He wanted to have it there. While I was checking around I came across "Blessed Fun" on Hearon Circle in Spartanburg. They are fairly inexpensive and provide meal of pizza or hot dogs, games, drinks, etc. plus your choice of video arcade games or outdoor activity: bumper boats, miniature golf, etc. The man was very nice and said they do all the entertaining and decorating for the kids - you just sit and relax. I think this family has purchased the old "Mountasia" and are trying to make a go of it as a family business where you can take your teens or kids for wholesome entertainment. The facility does need a little fixing up and I guess they will not be able to do that unless business increases. I have a friend who did have a party there and she said they did a good job. Their website is www.blessedfun.com.
