Santa in the Garden

Just a heads up that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Hatcher Garden Dec. 3 from 9-noon. Kids can get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus for just a non-perishable food donation and they can decorate a cookie while waiting for their picture to print. I've never been to this, but it sounds fun. Plus, I'd love for my son to get his picture taken with Santa, but it's just too dang expensive at the mall. Has anyone on here done this before?

We've never been to this event, but we've been to others at Hatcher Garden. It's a beautiful place! We were there just a few weekends ago to have some family photos taken. You're right. It's way too expensive at the mall! We had my daughter's picture made her first Christmas, got the cheapest package and it was still $18. And all we got were 2 little pictures. We didn't even do it last year. We have a family event in Chester on Dec. 3, so I can't go. I wish I could! Let me know how it turns out. I may want to do it next year.

Last year was my daughter's first Christmas, and we really lucked out because they were giving away a free 8x10 photo with Santa at the Bilo on Reidville Rd (it was a grand re-opening). And it was before she beame afraid of strangers, so it turned out beautifully!

We lucked out last year as well - free 8x10 at the Southern Sportsman in Boiling Springs. He was a good Santa, too. :)

We just had Austin's picture made with Santa! I didn't realize how expensive it is!! We will definitely be looking for things like this for next year!! I've bever been to Hatcher Garden.

My little one was terrified of Santa this year (at Hatcher Gardens). I'm so thankful we have such a beautiful picture from last year!

Yep, the Goober freaked out as well & I'm glad we didn't pay a lot for the pictures this year. Of course, every person needs a Santa freak-out picture from their childhood I think :)

That's what I figure, too! Everybody should have a "crying Santa pic"! We decorated a cookie afterwards, which helped a little bit, but she was still sniffling. Last year she was so sweet with Santa @ 6 months old :)
