A repair kit? I think it is just a sticker to put on the bottom that says "how many times do we have to tell you.....don't put this thing on a raised surface, people!" I haven't read the article, but heard about the "recall." To me, it is common sense. You never know when a baby will arch himself so suddenly that he could get out of that thing. I admit though, I did put my second baby in it a few times on the table to feed him. But this was because he was too little (he's always been small for age) for a high chair and by the time he started eating baby food, he did not like the bouncy seat anymore. But, he went in it only when I was ready to feed him and an inch away from him. He went down with me if I had to move. Even I knew the chance was slight, no way was he staying on the table. He loved the bumbo though and being the monkey he's always been, did try to get out of it at a young age. But if it was on the floor, no biggy if he got out of it. You know one of the only episodes I watched of "Teen Mom" a young mom had her 9-month-old on a counter in a bumbo while she unloaded dishes. The baby was reaching over for something while she wasn't looking. I was screaming that those cameramen better freaking say something! She noticed in time, but that is one reason I can't watch that show!
