We are huge Panther fans, and we gave my son no choice but to be one himself. When I was getting ready for our daughter to arrive, he was moved into his new room with the walls painted in Panther blue, the trim in silver, home made curtains in black and silver to match his black and gray bedspread. My brother gave him a Panther flag, which is on his wall, as a baby gift. We also got a Panther stencil put on his wall as well. I also gave him the inaugural game ticket, that I kept from when I went to the first ever Panther game that was held in Death Valley at Clemson. And he also has my very first Panther hat, which is also from the first season. He also recently discovered my autographed football that I got signed by a number of players, but isn't worth anything, because some people who signed the ball got cut from the team. But he loves to play with it. He know the Panther logo so well, he'll point them out to me, when we are out and about. I'm looking forward to when I can actually take him to his first game.

We are a divided house. My 3 year old daughter and I pull for the Gamecocks and my husband pulls for the "boo tigers," as she says. It gets very interesting during football season and to make it even better, he graduated from Byrnes and me from Dorman! Rivalries all around!

Our family LOVES football...peewee, high school, college and pro! We love a good football game and a lot of our family time revolves around game days, especially college football. We don't bleed the local orange but we do bleed orange as in the orange and green that represents the Miami Hurricanes. My husband is from Miami. His grandfather, uncle and dad all played football for the Canes. Derek grew up going to all the games and has been a die hard fan through the good and bad. For our 3 children their initiation to College Football all came with a trip to Miami. Our daughter Kendall was first then Derek took each of our boys separately this past year. He buys tickets to a home game and flies down there with each kid individually. It is such a special time for him to have with each kid one on one but it has instilled in them a unique love for the Miami Hurricanes, as well as the game of football. Each kid has his or her favorite player and that players jersey. Our love of football runs deep but especially for the Hurricanes!
