Adoption

We are adoptive parents to three. Two are through social services and the third is from China. I would be glad to answer any questions for those considering adoption.

Hi Wendy! Adoption is near and dear to my heart. My 4-year-old nephew is adopted from Guatemala. My sister and her husband went through Worldwide Adoption in Spartanburg. Did you use them too by chance?

We have at least one other mom on this site who adopted internationally - 3 girls from Russia.

I have two biological sons and after the last rough pregnancy and somewhat scary delivery, I told my husband that we should go to China for our little girl! Don't know if he's on board since our little one is only 3 months old (and its hard to think of another child as we are still adjusting to life with 2!), but if we win the lottery in a few years, that's the first thing I want to do!

Hi Katie! Remember that God commands us to care for the orphans so it is always His will for us to adopt. We did not have the money either, but He provided ALL of it. We used Christian World Adoption. I pray that He will show your husband and provide financially. It is such a blessing as you know from your sister. I think it is one of the very best things we have done in our lives. Our five year old is starting to understand and it is so cool to see her thought process at work (and sometimes heartbreaking). It amazes me how much we can love children that were not born to us. They are such a blessing!
